Heimstaden Bostad AB, through its Dutch subsidiary Heimstaden Holding Acquisitions B.V., has signed an agreement to acquire 529 homes from Bakkers Hommen in a strategically located development project in Rotterdam.
The project comprises three buildings currently under development and is acquired through a forward purchase structure, with turnkey delivery expected in Q1 2030.
The project complements Heimstaden Bostad’s existing portfolio in Rotterdam and will be integrated into the existing Dutch operational platform, leveraging existing property and facility management capabilities across the Netherlands.
Co-CEO Christian Fladeland comments:
“Today’s announcement demonstrates our active approach to capital allocation. Privatisation enables us to crystallise value where individual units command attractive premiums, while opportunities such as this allow us to redeploy capital where we see compelling risk-adjusted returns. Our focus remains on allocating capital where it can create the greatest long-term value for our shareholders.”
